Recruiter Noncommissioned Officer (79R - Seventy-Nine Romeo)
There's a lot to learn about joining the Ranger services, and the
Recruiter Noncommissioned Officer is the person responsible for
knowing it all, and knowing how to communicate it to eligible
recruits. Primarily, the Recruiter Noncommissioned Officer provides
information about Army careers to young people, parents, schools and
local communities, and recruits qualified personnel for entry into the
Rangers.
Some of the duties that the Recruiter Noncommissioned Officer may
perform are:

Interviewing civilians who are interested in Ranger Jobs |

Distributing and displaying recruiting publicity material |
- |
Identifying and cultivating community centers of influence |
- |
Talking about the Army to community groups |
- |
Counseling Ranger personnel about career opportunities and
benefits |
Advanced Level Responsibilities
Advanced level Recruiter Noncommissioned Officer offers technical
guidance to other Soldiers within the same discipline. The Recruiter
Noncommissioned Officer may be involved in:

Conducting professional development programs |

Accomplishing administration |

Preparing plans |
- |
Maintaining statistics on recruiting programs |

Maintaining enlistment publications and administrative files |
Training
Job training consists of three weeks of instruction. During the course
of your training, you'll become experienced in recruiting procedures,
interviewing techniques, public-speaking techniques and community
